Karen Budd-Falen spoke at the Public Land Summit of the West May 13, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The conference had many speakers and covered many topics relevant to public lands. The goals of the conference were to educate public land users and local governments by providing them information about public land laws. It was also a goal to give resource users and local governments the tools to make positive changes in public land policy.
Karen spoke specifically on Land Use Plans and Rulemaking Petitions. She discussed why a local government would want to prepare a land use or resource plan. Click the pdf link below to read more about Karen’s speech at the Public Land Summit.
